About the LICK FACTORY

The-Lick-Factory-Still

So you want to learn the guitar?

Learning to play an instrument isn’t just about learning to play. Its a lifestyle choice. You’re not only committing to practise, you’re committing to traveling to a teacher every week. You’re committing to a lesson time, convenient or not. You’re committing to paying a weekly tuition fee that can be anywhere between $25 to $50. To top it all off, you really have no idea how good the teacher is!

Now imagine this, a professional player coming to your home every week and teaching you not only how to play, but how to play on a professional world-class level.

You are taught everything about chords, scales, techniques, theory and application, with nothing left out.

Sounding good?

Not only does your teacher give you a complete no holding back lesson, you are also left with the high quality lesson notes. Featuring all the days exercises, chord and scale diagrams and important points that were covered off in the lesson. Not only that, you are also left with backing tracks to each and every exercise to assist you in your practice.

Now imagine that you can call your teacher up, and get that same lesson again at any point forever without having to pay again.

Now see if your teacher will do that for $4.00 a lesson…

Enter the LICK FACTORY. This course is the most detailed, most comprehensive guitar tuition ever compiled for the internet. Our syllabus draws on years of experience in both performance and education. The detailed courses have been proven time and time again with our students achieving top results in their high school and university exams. Many of our students have also gone onto lucrative professional careers in music.

Our syllabus is built around a “nothing left out” concept. We cover all techniques in detail from the theory behind it all to the practical real world application. More importantly, our course follows a logical chronological order. Each lesson flows on from the previous with each step developing your skills as a player.

Our course is divided into ‘SETS’ with each SET developing a new set of skills to add to your arsenal. Each SET has its own unique number of lessons that are usually between 6 and 8. These lessons all become available to you upon purchase of each SET with no delay. The Preliminary Lessons Set as well as Set 1 and Set 2 are all available now. SETS 3 and 4 are available on pre order.

Each lesson consists of 6 sections:

INTRODUCTION

The introduction lets you know what it is that we’ll be doing in each lesson. Getting a checklist of what you will be coving will be vital in ensuring that you get the most out of the lesson on the 1st watch.

MAIN BODY

The first section is the main body, and covers off on the featured technique for that day. Assisted by high quality animations, each technique is explained from the ground up. The theory to the application, we make it easy for a student to understand the concept. We ensure that once covered, they have the necessary skills to use the technique and the theoretical knowledge to adapt it on the fly.

LICK OF THE WEEK

Our second section is the LICK OF THE WEEK. In this section of the lesson, we look at practical real world applications on the technique we covered in the main body of the lesson. Complete charts in both manuscript and tab are listed and we walk through the lick explaining every detail.

SIGHTREADING

Section 3 is all about learning to sight-read. Reading music is one of the areas that not many guitar players ever learn. While learning to read is not overly necessary when playing contemporary music, it is one skill that will make you pick songs up a lot faster and give you the skills to play songs correctly the first time, without hearing them. At the end of the day, any studio musician will tell you that time is money, and if you can nail guitar parts quickly, you will get the work.

RHYTHM & COUNTING

Section 4 is all about Rhythm and Counting. Music is a way of organising sound. Rhythm and counting is key to doing this effectively. Your skills in this area will develop to a standard that could even rival your drummer!

OUTRO

At the conclusion of the lesson we summarise all the new information that we’ve run through in the lesson. You will also get rehearsal tips to master your new skill.

Each lesson comes complete with a lesson summary in printable PDF format. With all the main points, exercises, chord and scale shapes, sight-reading, rhythm and counting and practise instructions, a student can not only practise and learn online, but off line as well. To assist with this process, professional recorded backing tracks are also provided for each and every exercise, in each and every lesson. Best of all, once you subscribe to a course and your lessons become available, you are able to re-watch them at any point through your account indefinitely.
